Undoubtedly, the shared breakfast is the most important meal during Easter.
What to choose for the Easter table so that your loved ones are delighted and remember this holiday for a long time? We have prepared Batida's Easter must-have – add these dishes to your Easter menu, and we guarantee that everyone sitting at the shared table will be enchanted.
1. Sour rye soup with white sausage
We probably won't surprise anyone by placing this gentleman first on our Easter must-have list, as sour rye soup is the undisputed king of the holiday breakfast.
Often, family morning feasting at the shared table begins with it.
The Head Chef, Marzena Hajn, prepared a true Polish sour rye soup this year using her own sourdough. It must include an egg – a zero-grade egg from organic free-range hens – and white sausage from locals.
The broth was prepared with smoked ribs and smoked bacon; there are no half measures here – the sour rye soup must be aromatic! The flavor is enhanced by horseradish, garlic, and marjoram. You have to try it!
2. Stuffed eggs
Stuffed, soft-boiled, poached, hard-boiled – eggs are undoubtedly the foundation of the Easter table. When buying eggs or choosing products with eggs from local catering companies or restaurants, be sure to find out what kind of eggs are used to prepare the dishes.
Always choose places that use zero-grade eggs – these are eggs from happy hens raised in free-range, organic conditions. In the Batida workshop and kitchen, we use only such eggs.
This year, Batida's offer includes stuffed eggs with five pastes, which we have chosen together from many proposals prepared for the annual pre-holiday tasting.
Each of these spreads is dedicated to different taste preferences. For those who like classic and traditional flavors, the best option is definitely the spread with rustic ham from locals, egg, and onion or egg spread. For mushroom fans, the one with champignon mushrooms, coriander, and pepper; for fish lovers, definitely smoked salmon with avocado and lime; and for those who enjoy modern variations, the best choice is the herbal spread with wasabi.
3. Pâté
A must-have snack or spread on the Easter table. In many homes, it is also served warm with tartar sauce, roast sauce, or red onion jam. It often competes to be the guests' favorite at the shared table.
This year at Batida, pâté comes in four versions: pork and beef with green pepper, pork and beef with plum, duck with cranberry, and something for vegetarians – lentil pâté with aromatic cumin and vegetables.
4. Mazurek
No need to say much, mazurek is undoubtedly the sweet hallmark of Easter.
Prepared using many different techniques with a hundred flavor combinations.
In this year's Batida Easter offer, you will find both limited and already iconic proposals for the Easter table prepared by Head Pastry Chef Mira Bogucka and her team.
Mazurek with dried fruits and nuts has been offered by Batida for many years; any modification of this favorite Easter cake among our customers would cause quite a protest in front of our boutiques, so we named it ICONIC and it appears again in our proposals unchanged.
The second one to appear on tables this year is nut mazurek on a shortcrust pastry with peanut butter, white chocolate, and feuilletine - loosely translated as a crunchy praline made from nut paste and milk chocolate.
